Lucas Fernald

Lucas brings more than 10 years of engineering experience to QleanAir, including seven years with the company. His background includes quality control engineering, mechanical engineering in automotive manufacturing, and product design for modular cleanroom systems used in healthcare and pharmaceutical environments. 

Lucas holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a Certified SolidWorks Associate. At QleanAir, he supports cleanroom projects through early-stage design, architectural coordination, 3D modeling, HVAC and airflow calculations, engineering documentation, and bill of materials development. He also works closely with contractors and trades to help ensure each space is properly prepared for installation. 

Based in Columbus, Lucas supports projects across the continental United States. He values QleanAir’s collaborative, problem-solving culture and enjoys being part of a team committed to quality and real-world impact. Coworkers know him as reliable, accountable, collaborative, and easy to work with. Outside of work, Lucas enjoys video games, movies, music, puzzles, trivia, volleyball, singing, and playing guitar. He also has an energetic cattle dog named Ernie and previously sang with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.
