About Zachary Douglas
Zachary Douglas is president of QleanAir North America, where he holds full responsibility for the region’s profit and loss, commercial strategy, operations, and team. His focus is pharmaceutical cleanrooms and controlled environments, particularly the pharmacy cleanrooms that hospital pharmacies and compounding facilities rely on to meet USP 797 and 800.
He joined QleanAir in 2019 as operations manager for North America, with a mandate to move the business’s supply chain and operations from Europe to the United States. Over the two years that followed he relocated the supply chain, led a redesign of the core product for local suppliers and faster installation, implemented the ERP system that now runs inventory, purchasing, accounting, sales, service, and project management, brought a European product segment to the US market, and built a service partner network spanning North America. He moved into product management in 2021 and was appointed president in 2022.
Zachary began his career as a design engineer at Honda R&D Americas, where over six years he designed more than one hundred parts for vehicles at every stage from feasibility to production, and contributed to prototype technology on two research and development teams, including vehicle features for people with disabilities. He then spent six years in operational leadership across a group of five companies, rising to operational excellence leader, where he redesigned operations, selected and implemented a new ERP system, and improved employee retention and job satisfaction.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, which shapes how he runs the business, on data, clear process, and disciplined execution, without losing sight of the customer.
